The neumatic post driver requires no handling whilst driving operations are taking place.
A two man team work on an embankment to drive 1M lengths of helical pile (connected together) down to the calculated depth.
Piling operations in progress.
A post driver is lifted into place before driving operations begin at the foot of the embankment.
We enjoy a close relationship with Tyne & Wear Public Transport Authority for whom we have been the preferred maintenance contractor. The electrification mast to the side of the metro line at Tyne Docks was rotating due to an inadequate foundation. Helical piles were installed to act as tension anchors to resist any further rotation. The portability of the piling system and its speed of installation meant that works could be completed throughout the night, thus avoiding cancellation of rail services.
