Helical Bar Technology

As approved Thor Helical Installers, we are able to utilise the Thor Heliforce Beaming System which provides a rapid, cost-effective means of restoring structural integrity to buildings where masonry has failed and lost it’s load bearing capacity.

Put simply, the system works via the installtion of horizontal bed-joint reinforcement (Helical Bars) to tie the masonry together and create deep masonry beams which distribute the structural loads. Other ties and fixings provide appropriate lateral and vertical restraint to complete the system which has been proven in all types of masonry structure.

Helical Bars are used in different lengths, depending upon the nature of the application, and are bonded into cut slots in the masonry using thixotropic cementitious grout. It is the composite action between the Helical Bars and the cementitious grout that provides the core element of the Heliforce System, resulting in a versatile, reliable and successful masonry repair system.
