Brick Effect Insulated Render

There are a range of renovation options being utilised by The Gateshead Housing Company at the Beacon Lough and Harlow Green Estates. In the picture opposite, a member of our team is applying a brick effect render to match the original brickwork of a property.

The illusion is exceptionally effective and relatively easy to achieve. Blue-Board cladding, used for a stable background, is covered with a scrim adhesive and a base coat matched to the surounding mortar is applied. A finish coat, matched to existing bricks is then applied before the final set courses are carved into its surface, revealing the base coat and creating the finished brick effect.
